About Me

I'm Alex, a Tufts University graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. During my time at Tufts, I worked in the Bray and Nolop makerspaces, played bass in the Tufts Symphony Orchestra, and served as a Residential Assistant. I was also the Chief Mechanical Engineer for Tufts Electric Racing, where I led the redesign and fabrication of key systems like suspension, cooling, and aerodynamics for our all-electric race car.

Now based in New York City, I work as an HVAC Design Engineer. My role allows me to bring concepts from my thermal and fluids coursework to life, designing efficient systems for real-world applications. Living in NYC has also been a great opportunity to expand my skills and connect with others passionate about innovative engineering solutions.

Outside of work, I’ve taken up baking as a new hobby, challenging myself to try a new dessert every week. While some experiments, like flan, don’t always go to plan (the sugar stuck to the pan!), I’ve perfected recipes like my S’mores Cookies. I love the process of troubleshooting in the kitchen and needing to find work-arounds—it’s not too different from engineering!

I’m always excited to learn something new or dive into a fresh project. Feel free to ask me about what I’m working on or my latest baked good!
